The Konkan region of Maharashtra state which is gifted with natural beauty, Sahyadri hill ranges, Arabian sea to its west and a rich flora & fauna, is predominantly a paddy growing area. It is also known  globally  for its Alphonso mango cultivation. NBIL’s products are gaining popularity in the paddy crop, this was evident in the dealer meet recently held at Ratnagiri. The dealers expressed their satisfaction over the performance of NBIL’s hybrid paddy Gorakhnath-509 & research paddy Menka. Dealers  also placed more orders for both these products.

Another product from NBIL which is enjoying a very good patronage by owners of Alphonso mango orchards is the ‘Win-Chi-Win’ mango special edition – a versatile bio-stimulant product of NBIL. Application of Win-Chi-Win’ mango special, checks the early fruit dropping very effectively & thus adds to the yields & income of farmers. This fact is getting spread through mouth publicity amongst the mango growers, resulting in sales-increase of ‘Win-Chi-Win’ mango special.

NBIL Maharashtra branch is studying the paddy & mango crops in Konkan, in greater depths to chalk out an aggressive strategy for the marketing of its two new varieties of paddy namely Ford-140 & Karina in the days to come.
